Pet peeves: Guys who say they are VGL (Very Good Looking), over educated, looking for someone who can hold a conversation, and the biggie: way over educated :))) Let someone else be the judge lol Why would an older man (60+) who's surfing Silverdaddies gets upset when he's referred to as "dad"? The site is not called Silver haired men but "Silverdaddies" The slogan of Silverdaddies "the site for sons and dads who are into mature men!" :) What ever happened to civility? I was under the impression of those who are 60 + grew up in an era where courtesy/politeness was part of their upbringing. Why a compliment and nothing but a compliment on their profile or picture or a simple greeting "How are you?" has to be met with "not a match" or "not into black" instead of a "Thank you"? The irony is it often occurs with profiles that are hundreds of miles away as if.... I really thought older men 60 and up were much classier and sophisticated than people of my generation. I am starting to think otherwise. What irks me? Game players and those who lack integrity. A young guy in his 20s who plays games or lies for no reasons is almost expected but after a certain age, especially in your 60s, what is the point? It only reflects on the disingenuous character just like 63yo pic collector "Seeking Old Fashion Romance" #1750213. What do these pea brains gain from being deceitful? Enquiring minds want to know. P.S. Seems many daddies are a bit puzzled by my pet peeve. I'll use this comparison to clarify my point of view. The word "daddy" is a term of endearment. It has nothing to do with your offspring nor marital status. Ever heard a husband called his wife "baby" or vice versa? Do you think the spouse is referring to an actual baby by using such word? Show me a wife or husband who objects to being called "baby". Countless of songs, cards, poems have used the word "baby" without insinuating incest. Get my drift? Cheers! I got this e-mail from Joe64, had to share because who doesn't love the humor of a 71 yo bottom man who uses the term "old queen" as an insult? :) A classic case of self-loathing :) "short profile BUT loaded with issues.....for a young prince , you sound a bit like a tired old QUEEN.....I understand why you have to keep traveling.....JOE64" Last but not least, I understand the excitement one can have over a potential online connection but always remember, we all have a life and SD is an extracurricular activity. Whether it's a career/job, passion, hobby or whatever it may be that takes us away for a brief moment from online dating sites, no one should feel obligated to check their SD every second to respond to every single flirt. So please, don't be quick to judge and get nasty if a reply is not sent the second the message is received. Let's all be more considerate and adult and less self centered and childish. Cheers!
