Although it's rare (2% of the population?), there are folks who were born with ambiguous intersex traits, and they are caught in the middle of the culture war of bigotry going on. With some of these hormonal, chromosomal, genitalia irregularities, it happens that sometimes doctors may guess at the gender, and they guess wrong, and it becomes evident around puberty in some cases as their bodies change in the direction opposite of what was assigned on their Birth Certificates. They seek help in order to conform with society's expectations for a binary-gender identity, but at the same time, society is urging laws that would prevent them from trying to conform to the gender identities of society. Isn't it ironic. I recommend that everyone get educated about all the different irregularities-syndromes-disorders-deviations referred to as "intersex conditions". There are a lot of them and there are more and more born this way as human population increases.

I just read this about natural odors of Human Beings at Wikipedia ("Body Odor). It's fascinating.
