Word of fair warning, I am not on this site much any more. I might check my messages once a month or so, but I might miss a message or two by accident in the meanwhile. My apologies if it takes me a while to get back to you (more on that below).

Stocky and hairy, masculine versatile bear attracted to older men with graying, balding, and hairy all pluses. Special interest in Polar and Santa Bears, but all 50+ are interesting in their own way.

By profession I guess I'd have to say I'm a professional geek - good with computers most of my life since I built one in Junior High.

Some of my hobbies, both past and present include singing (choral mainly), motorcycles, square dancing, geocaching, bicycling and autocrossing. You might call me a technology whore - I have a keen interest in watching the new world of consumer electronics unfold and enjoy experimenting with new gadgets even before they are ready for the masses. Having said that, I also have a strong skeptical streak (probably coming from being a Taurus, or from Missouri).

I used to have a section here on my work with a personal trainer, and it did help with my energy and general fitness quite a bit. Unfortunately, I haven't been to the gym in a few years now and it is starting to show. I need to get out and be more active to get my weight back down and stay healthy.

I watch a fair bit of TV, mostly sci-fi and have a decent sized movie collection that is slowly moving its way towards the Blu-ray end of the spectrum.

I would be interested in a relationship, but I have lived single for quite some time and am perfectly comfortable with that. If Mr. Right comes along then I'll be ecstatic, but I am not holding my breath or crossing my fingers while waiting (I have other things to do with my breath and fingers to waste them like that). Thus why I don't tend to get on here much any more.
