My partner of 42 years died six years ago, and I'm not really tsure what I'm looking for except that he's not a Republican. I have to tell you that my partner is a hard act to follow-he was tall and handsome, quite knowledgeable about classical music, literature, and art, an excellent cook, and a very responsible and generous person. You don't have to have any of these qualities except maybe the last one, but I thought it would help to know what I'm used to.

I'm a retired journalist and editor in book publishing, and something of a news junkie. Obviously, I read a lot--I also enjoy domestic and international travel, classical and especially choral music, opera, movies, museums, restaurants, and long walks.
