It's been a while since I was on here in a serious sense. But recent events have me back and looking.

I am a laid-back kind of guy that grew up knowing the value of integrity, hard work and good friends. I own a small business working with classic automobiles - a far cry from my former mid-level executive position in the I.T. field. But I've found it much more satisfying fulfilling peoples' dreams than fixing their (typically user-induced) problems that they blamed on me. I'm a transplant from southern California by necessity, but Texas has turned out to be better than I had thought.

I'm a pleaser - in all aspects of my life. But I don't take abuse. I enjoy chats with friends - local and distant - and I value my friends as one of the most important "assets" in my life. While I do have a number of acquaintances, I have few truly good friends.

In addition to automobiles (especially classics), I enjoy aviation, but had to give up the last plane and flying to focus on my business. I love to relax at home and enjoy quiet time with a man that I can love unconditionally - watching TV, movies, or just talking.

I own my own home on enough partly-wooded acreage to require a "real" tractor to mow and have found that to be both relaxing and fun to think of all the things I can now do on the property to make it even nicer. For now, I only have one neighbor, and that property can't be seen from the patio - making for nice privacy. My business is located on the property (done so that I could keep my elderly partner at home) and that facility - though unimposing from the vantage point of the house - is 3 times the size of the 4-bedroom house. So, if you're into gardening or landscaping, this place could be nirvana - especially considering I just put up a greenhouse.

At my current age, I am still fully sexually functional, though the drive has dropped off. I'm open to most anything that doesn't involve pain I'm not much into anything kinky - but one never knows. I am very-much relationship oriented, so casual sex isn't really my thing, but it isn't out of the question. Typically, I look for men I want to be around before and after - preferably with a potential for a permanent relationship sharing a home and waking up next to each other after cuddling ourselves to sleep. Please, personal hygiene is important to me - as in bathing daily.

I am out and open to all that I know - including clients. I'm not in the least bit effeminate and am typically not attracted to men who are...though a bit of campiness is usually fun. We've all heard it before, but I'm one of those gay guys who nobody ever suspects is gay until I start talking about my home life or some other clearly gay matter.

Honesty is a must with me. I've grown tired of the lies over infidelity, finances and the like. While I've always wanted a monogamous relationship, I've always found that I was the only one living up to that promise. Do I give up and settle for an open relationship? Who knows? A part-time third did work for me and my partner for several years. So, nothing is set in stone - except rigorous honesty. That includes being comfortably out with family and friends. I'll not go through that indignity again.

Technically, I am partnered. But he is now 90 years old and 20 years into an Alzheimer's diagnosis. He has been open to my finding a new lover/partner/husband for many years now. In reality, I am a caregiver with a history of deep love for the man I met 28 years ago and am likely to lose within the next year.

Obviously, I am long-winded when writing, but it's out of a habit of being thorough in my work. I am very give & take when it comes to live conversations.
