I am an ever-evolving single gay man who has learned to live by the late Maya Angelou adage, "You do what you can do, until you know better".
Therefore, I continue to be a work in progress.

Most who meet me find me to be an outgoing and grounded man who is naturally masculine in demeanor and professional in appearance. My friends and extended family relate that I display depth, quick wit, and a great sense of humor. I stand 5 feet 6 inches tall, 175 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair with a current tinge of grey. I'm an interactive type of person who derives personal energy from others and from new challenges in life.

I'm a life-long CHICAGO native with equally significant ties to TORONTO and West Michigan. I love both city's zest and eclectic mix of urban adventures. However I'm more than just a city/suburban man.

When time permits, I also like to camp in the wilderness under a star filled night sky alongside a brightly lit campfire. I enjoy bike riding on and off the beaten path in the spring through the fall with a short break in the winter and I am a White Sox and year-round Chicago sports fan. I also enjoy a mix of live music venues -especially jazz and blues and rock and reggae. I also like to travel and enjoy a weekend road trip to uncharted destinations. When I am able, I work respectfully for both gay and straight causes by volunteering my time, voice and energy. My favorite causes include Rainbow Railroad/Rainbow Refugee and the Human Rights Campaign.

While I am open to meeting others of any age, its highly likely that the perfect man for me is over 35,but probably well over 40. He is masculine,interactive,and like me is searching for a monogamous long-term relationship. This man is also grounded and respects others as well as himself and most importantly understands the concept of personal dignity.
While some need another person to "complete them", I'm actually a complete and whole person in my own right.

Although my life's adventures continue without someone, it but it would be amazing with a great guy to enhance my life. Together, we can challenge each other, and bring out the best in ourselves and each other.
