After 34 years of a man's companionship and marriage I am widowed. I have lots of affection and love to give and receive.

I am most interested in the well-read, passionate, thoughtful and kind man who loves travel, films, bicycling, swimming and both the outdoors and urban adventures; as well as eclectic physical and intellectual pursuits.

Basic monogamy (with the possibility of an inclusive third) as a route to deepen our relationship and our understanding of ourselves is important. I find communal living more rewarding than narrow, inward-looking & restrictive partnerships as often defined in 20th Century American "traditional" marriages. Each couple needs to negotiate a consensus on what works best for them.

My ideal partner would be someone with a sense of history, communitarianism, political activism and open to queer left Zionism (not necessarily Jewish, but a Zionist leftist none-the-less).

I am from a richly mixed Slavic ethnic and secular Jewish family... raised & formally educated Croatian Catholic. Since the age of 12, HOWEVER, on a now 60 year journey into my Jewish identity; a journey on becoming Jewish .... longer than 40 years in the desert.
