Hello, stranger!

Allow me to introduce myself: I'm a self-proclaimed gerontosapiohomosexual. I'm an exotic blend of Malay and Chinese heritage - think a rare collector's item but with less dust and more wit.

Friendly, sincere, professional, and solvent (yes, I know, the full package!) So yes, I can afford a pint and the occasional bit of whimsy.

I love connecting with others to share interests - be they common or delightfully different. Travel to the UK happens often, and I'm always keen to make more friends in the area. I enjoy losing myself whilst church-crawling and indulging my passion for National Trust and English Heritage sites. I also fancy the simplicity of a good long walk in the countryside or a hearty pub chat.

When it comes to music, I'm a bit of an oddball. I'm mad about keroncong, especially Johor and Indonesian style but also have a soft spot for classicals: Baroque and Catholic music - nothing like a good hymn to lift the spirits. Tchaikovsky's Sixth is proven to make me teary-eyed. You could say I have an old soul.. or at least a very diverse playlist.

I am a firm believer of keeping yourself fit and active (despite my slightly tubby appearance.) Swimming, park runs, basketball, and my guilty pleasure: go-karting are my favourite vertical activities as a compensation of my lack of horizontal ones. One thing for sure: you will never find me in gyms because keeping yourself active should be free of overpriced memberships.

I also enjoy watching sports like F1, football, basketball, badminton, and exclusively rugby (union and league.) Watching men touching each other in a scrum is such a turn-on.

As for literature, I like to mix the classic with the witty. You'll find Forster and Wilde on my shelf, but I'm equally fond of the hilariously sharp tongues of PG Wodehouse and Tom Sharpe. Basically, if it makes me laugh or think, I'm interested.

When I'm not a full-time bookworm, I enjoy watching films in cinemas or at home and boxset series.

As for my versatility - well, I'm 100% adaptable. I can be a top, a bottom, or a combination of both (imagine a culinary masterpiece of flexibility.) But while I'm happy to keep things light, I do value deeper connections. A good conversation is as important as a kiss (though let's be honest, both have their place).

On the romance front, I've had my fair share of failed attempts. After a few unlucky rounds, I'm no longer seeking love or commitments (Linda Ronstadt's "Long Long Time" and George Michael's "One More Try" pretty much sum it up.) I'm a widower, so I know what I'm talking about. These days, I'm more about meeting someone for good old-fashioned, meaningful friendship, and the odd intellectual (and physical) connection, or perhaps some good laughs together. Then, I'll take what life has in store for me. Que sera sera!

And just a quick note: no smokers, please - I have sinus issues, and let's just say, anything that isn't fresh air makes me a bit sneezy. Also, I'm D&D-free since July 2024 and poppers-friendly.
