Intelligent straight-acting guy looking for similar non-camp friends within say 20 miles or so who share some of my interests - for conversation, companionship and compatibility.

I like some television - historical dramas, older comedies, and documentaries etc., but I don't like so-called 'reality tv', soaps, or the endless cooking, celebrity, talent shows, sci-fi or blockbuster films! That excludes quite a lot I suppose! Politically I'm inclined to the right, but as long as you are not far-left wing your political views shouldn't be a problem.

I'm quite a musical guy and although my first love is classical music (except opera and ballet) I like many other forms of music including modern dance, world music, ballads, love songs and the like, but not traditional jazz.

I'm a recreational motorcyclist and other interests include country walking (with the GOC), industrial archaeology, transport, history, travel, holidays in warm climates, occasional theatre, and dining out.
