In early 2019 I was widowed suddenly after more than 30 years with a husband slightly older than me. A friend of ours came to my side in my grief and became a close partner who I eventually remarried. Our physical relationship has become more about affection than sex, so we made an open marriage instead of starting over in relationships that might be more sexual but not as loving. He currently has a boyfriend who I love and doesn't expect more commitment. Meanwhile I've discovered that many younger men are looking for the companionship of someone older. Exploring that here.

Men can invent relationships without the expectations of heterosexual couples. I'm not closed to the possibility that a younger man could come along and be right for a traditional, monogamous marriage. But I also think that's complicated across an age gap, that the "dad/son" dynamic is not necessarily a fit for two husbands, and a sexual and romantic friendship is fresher when it's focused on sex and romance rather than the details of maintaining a household 24/7/365. Trying to keep my mind open and let the future happen as it will.

Currently I'm looking for sexual companionship that is steady instead of hooking up unsafely with random men. Ideally that would be near Milwaukee or Chicago, or my vacation home in Mexico. But my work is portable, I like to travel and could possibly make something work in a place that would be fun for repeated visits.
