Aussie polar bear, living in the historic village of Richmond, near Sorell, in semi rural Tasmania, about 15 mins from the Hobart Airport & enjoying a great laid back lifestyle, near mountains, lakes & ocean, and the A3 east coast highway, now the Great Eastern Drive to St Helens and some 25 mins to the Hobart CBD and the must visit, Salamancer Saturday markets, on the waterfront, and Sunday farmers markets in the Hobart CBD, or just chill out at the many coffee shops and boutique city shops, and take time to visit Mona, (the museum of old and new art),which is really worth the time to see all of the changing exhibits, you can catch a ferry to the museum or drive out on the Booker Highway, by car, or take car travel to the Midland Highway, for the gateway to Ross, Oatlands, Campbell Town and Launceston, or South to the apple orchards of Huonville, or to see wooden boat building, and repair in Franklin, or travel to Geeveston or Dover, and down to the thermal springs at Hastings, so there is something here for everyone.

Please note I am a prostate cancer survivor so far, and have underwent a triple heart by pass, due to chemo, but when a PET Scan, showed I have an 80% tumor in my prostate, I quickly had completed the radiation therapy, and the results were very good,& I will need only further PET Scans, to keep an eye on any outbreaks, and hopefully I will be able to enjoy a normal life, till the cancer comes out of remission, but with daily chemo, continuing to keep it that way, I hope and will enjoy more time with my partner, Sorellbear, who has been with me, from the start, and is my greatest love, over 11 years now.

Prostate Cancer, is a silent killer, with little early symptoms, it attacks the prostate gland first, and then gets out into the bladder, and causes damage, with a lot of waterworks troubles, or into the bones, as in my case, where it slowly eats away all of your skeleton, or any organs that are in the way, and causing pain and completely no sex life, as the hormone therapy treatment, to slow it down, has a lot of side effects, and my partner has been very understanding, for which I am truly thankful, with the treatments they very good, but expensive, so remember, if found early, there is a lot of success, but left, the options for surgery and a full recovery diminish, very very quickly, and to all people who read this message please, make sure that you have had, a PSA blood test done annually, as prostate cancer once it starts, can ravage your body before the symptoms appear, and the way back to good health, takes one hell of a time, with chemo, surgery and numerous scans and blood tests, so get yourselves checked out, and that means you!
Otherwise like me, you spend a lot of time at doctors surgeries, finding out where it is, and what damage it has done.
Prostate Cancer is a real killer and don't ignore any warning signs, like constant getting up in the night for a leak, or sudden pain in the area, blood in urine, or loss of function, please be careful the statistics are terrible, and most guys know something about breast cancer, in women, but ignore the prostate for themselves, and the disease is a silent killer and affects 3,350 who die annually from this disease in Australia.

The checkup at the doctors will save your life, and my days are getting numbered, and only with the help of good specialists, will I see a few more New Years, and it is not a nice feeling facing your own mortality, as the drugs do take their toll. Leaving my loving partner(Sorellbear), who has been with me all these years, during the fight, to stay alive, he has helped, to give me a normal life, as much as possible, and without his love I would not have been alive today and I am lucky to have such a good man by my side.
